The internal combustion engine is an important part of the outboard motor, and according to the relevant person from the outboard motor manufacturer, this system structure is mainly composed of the following parts:
1. Cooling system: The function of the cooling system is to dissipate part of the heat absorbed by the heated parts in time to ensure that the engine works at a more suitable temperature state. The cooling system of a water-cooled engine usually consists of a cooling water jacket, a water pump, a fan, a water tank, and a thermostat.
2. Ignition system: In a gasoline engine, the combustible mixture in the cylinder is ignited by electric sparks. For this reason, a spark plug is installed on the cylinder head of the gasoline engine, and the head of the spark plug extends into the combustion chamber. All the equipment that can generate electric sparks between the spark plug electrodes on time is called the ignition system. The ignition system is usually composed of batteries, generators, distributors, ignition coils and spark plugs.
3. Lubrication system: The function of the lubrication system is to deliver a certain amount of clean lubricating oil to the surface of the parts in relative motion to achieve liquid friction, reduce frictional resistance, and reduce wear of parts. And clean and cool the surface of the parts. The lubrication system usually consists of lubricating oil passages, oil pumps, oil filters and some valves.
4. Fuel supply system: The function of the gasoline engine fuel supply system is to prepare a certain amount and concentration of mixed gas according to the requirements of the engine, supply it to the cylinder, and discharge the burned exhaust gas from the cylinder to the atmosphere; diesel engine fuel supply The function of the system is to supply diesel oil and air into the cylinder respectively, form a mixed gas in the combustion chamber and burn it, and then discharge the burned exhaust gas.
5. Crank-link mechanism: The crank-link mechanism is the main moving part for the engine to realize the working cycle and complete the energy conversion. It is composed of body group, piston connecting rod group and crankshaft flywheel group. During the power stroke, the piston moves linearly in the cylinder under the gas pressure, which is converted into the rotary motion of the crankshaft through the connecting rod, and the power is output from the crankshaft.
6. Dynamic system: To make the engine transition from a static state to a working state, it is necessary to turn the crankshaft of the engine with an external force to make the piston reciprocate. The combustible mixture in the cylinder burns and expands to do work, pushing the piston down to make the crankshaft rotate. .
7. Start the gas distribution mechanism: the function of the gas distribution mechanism is to open and close the intake valve and exhaust valve at regular intervals according to the working sequence and working process of the engine, so that the combustible mixture or air enters the cylinder, and the exhaust gas is discharged from the cylinder , to realize the ventilation process.
