Precautions when placing the outboard motor oil tank

The fuel tank is an important part of the outboard motor. However, according to outboard motor manufacturers, there are usually six points that need attention when placing the fuel tank:
1. The fuel oil return resistance should not exceed the specification on the performance data sheet of the diesel engine used.
2. The resistance at the oil port is not allowed to exceed the value specified on the performance data sheet of all diesel engines when using a clean filter element. This resistance value is based on a fuel tank half filled with fuel.
3. After the oil tank is placed, a daily oil tank should be added between the large oil depot and the unit, so that the pressure of direct oil delivery is not greater than 2.5 meters. Even when the diesel engine is shut down, fuel is not allowed to flow into the diesel engine by gravity through the inlet or injection lines.
4. The fuel capacity in the fuel tank should ensure the daily daily supply.
5. The storage location of the fuel tank should be safe to prevent fire. The fuel tank or oil drum should be placed alone in a visible place, properly far away from the diesel generator set, and strict regulations prohibit smoking.
6. The connection of the fuel return pipeline should not cause shock waves in the fuel in the pipeline.
