Six points that should be paid attention to in the use of two-stroke outboard motors
Mar 03, 2023| According to outboard motor manufacturers, when using a two-stroke outboard motor, there are usually the following six points that need attention
1. Before sailing or stopping the engine, it should run at idle speed for 3 minutes to warm up or cool down the engine. The gear should be put in place quickly and in place, and the gas pedal should be slowed down when accelerating.
2. The first 10 hours of a new machine is the running-in period, the mixing ratio of gasoline engine oil is 25:1, and the mixing ratio of gasoline engine oil after 10 hours is 50:1.
3. Add the mixed oil, connect the oil pipe, connect the end of the oil pipe with the arrow pointing up to the machine, pump enough oil, loosen the exhaust bolt on the fuel tank, put the propeller into the water, and start the engine.
4. After 10 hours, replace the gear oil, fill it until it overflows, and inject it from bottom to top.
5. Original special engine oil and gear oil must be used for outboard engine warranty. For others, please read the engine manual in detail.
6. After starting, observe the cooling water outlet hole of the outboard motor, and there should be enough water to discharge.
