What are the inspections done after the outboard motor is used?

The outboard motor is a propulsion device used to provide water power for the boat to ensure that the boat meets the requirements of various indicators for water use. However, outboard motor manufacturers say that the following aspects should be checked after use:
1. If driving in salt water, wash off all the salt and rinse the exhaust port on the propeller and gearbox with clean water.
2. Use a powerful engine cleaner to remove engine fouling; lubricate all lubrication points, if running in salt water, increase the frequency of lubrication.
3. Check and clean the spark plug; check whether there is any dirt and impurities in the engine fuel filter (carburetor type).
4. Replace the water-splitting fuel filter (EFI type); check the battery; adjust the carburetor (if necessary).
5. Check the wear and tear of the protective anode. If it is running in salt water, the frequency of inspection should be increased; check the power trim working fluid.
6. Drain the original lubricant in the gearbox and replace it with new lubricant; lubricate the drive shaft spline; check the fastening of bolts, nuts and other fasteners.
7. Replace the impeller of the water pump (if over-temperature or insufficient water pressure occurs, it should be replaced in advance).
8. When driving in salt water or sewage, flush the cooling system of the outboard engine; check the engine timing setting; check the adjustment of the control cable.
