When repairing outboard motors, outboard motor manufacturers say that in order to ensure the effect of maintenance, there are some things that should be paid attention to, and these things that need to be paid attention to mainly include:
(1) When repairing the fuel system of the outboard engine, it is necessary to stop the engine, disconnect the power supply of the battery, and isolate the fire source. Drain the fuel and keep it airtight. Maintenance work needs to be carried out in a well-ventilated place, and attention must be paid to prevent leakage.
(2) Check the rubber ball used for priming oil and the fuel pipeline for cracks, swelling, oil leakage, hardening and other damage, and replace it immediately if there is any damage. And pay attention to regular cleaning and replacement of oil-water separator.
(3) When repairing the outboard engine, if the air inlet or exhaust port is open, it needs to be covered with clean objects to prevent foreign objects from falling into the cylinder, causing serious damage to the internal parts after the engine is started. If new fasteners need to be replaced, they need to be the same size and strength.
