What Are The Technical Advantages Of The New Outboard Motor?
Mar 19, 2023| With the continuous advancement of technology, the types of outboard motors produced by outboard motor manufacturers are also increasing, and the technical advantages of new outboard motors are also relatively prominent. So, what are these advantages?
1. Emergency braking: During emergency braking, if the gear is shifted from running at full speed to reverse at full speed, the electronic control system will automatically reduce the engine speed to the preset value before reversing. Emergency braking operations are unavoidable and this design prevents serious damage to the outboard gearbox.
2. Gearbox: The reinforced design of the gearbox can withstand the impact of emergency braking during navigation, and the same force can be maintained when operating clockwise and counterclockwise.
3. Low-speed control: Diesel outboard motors have low-speed control characteristics. This innovative system allows ships to maintain relatively good control characteristics during berthing and low-speed control.
4. Transmission: The high-load transmission with enhanced design, combined with the patented belt drive, can provide the entire torque transmission conversion performance without affecting the hydraulic power. Usually, only the built-in engine can have this feature.
5. Operational benefits: Extending the overhaul cycle time also means lower cycle costs. The new diesel outboard engine combines various technical characteristics of modern diesel engines and transmissions, has the unique advantages of durability and large power range, and optimizes the cost of equipment life cycle.
6. Main belt: The user can choose the main drive belt assembly according to the needs and driving control methods to change the gear ratio of 1.73:1 or 2.17:1. This design is a replaceable independent part.
7. Turbocharged engine: The engine is a proven turbocharged diesel engine with high-pressure common rail fuel direct injection technology. Use American GM and German BMW car engines, and use them on outboard motors after modification; use internal circulation secondary cooling system to isolate seawater. The functions of heat exchanger, intercooler and oil cooler have been improved to ensure better stability of the engine electronic control system; the specially designed fuel system and air intake system can withstand marine working conditions.
