What Is The Use Of The Protective Strips On The Inflatable Boat?
Mar 01, 2023| Protective strips, also known as anti-collision strips, anti-scratch strips, fender strips, etc. It is mainly used for the protection of inflatable boats, assault boats, rafting boats, yachts and various water amusement equipment and facilities. Its main material should be selected according to the material of the hull. For example, if the hull is made of Hypalon (CSM), the protective strip should be made of EPDM material; if the hull is made of PVC cloth or fiberglass, the protective strip should be made of rubber-plastic (modified PVC) material.
Rubber and plastic protective strips (modified PVC) are bright in color, low in price, and easy to bond. The high-quality protective strips have an aging life of more than 10 years, which is an ideal boat protection product at present.
Before the rubber and plastic protective strip is bonded to the boat, it should be heated in an incubator at about 50° for 3 to 5 hours to make it soft, and then glued evenly for bonding. Bonding should be carried out in a clean room with room temperature above 25°.
