Matters Needing Attention For Two-stroke Outboard Motors
Mar 05, 2023| What to look out for with a two-stroke outboard, such as fuel and oil.
1. It is recommended to use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 93 c on outboard engines. The use of fake and inferior gasoline will shorten the service life of the engine, inconvenient starting and other engine failures. It should be noted that since gasoline is volatile, an occasional small spark may cause deflagration or fire, so please do not smoke around gasoline, and please do not put gasoline in the outflow oil tank. Please stop the engine before adding gasoline to the tank.
2. The engine oil should use the original tc-w3 engine oil. It is not recommended to use other 2-stroke engine oils. Do not mix different brands of engine oils. Mixing different brands or different types of engine oils may cause gelation and cause oil filtration. The cleaner screen is clogged, which will cause significant engine damage.
Mixing ratio: The mixing ratio of unleaded gasoline and engine oil is 50:1. Note that during the ten hour break-in period, the mix ratio was 25:1.
